Hegistbury Head On A Windy Day

Yesterday, Ashley and I went for a nice stroll in Hegistbury Head, this great scenic and historic headland only a 15 minute bike ride away from home.

The gray skies, high grassy hills, and crashing waves of the sea are a lovely backdrop for just about anything. I came here a few times before last year and it continues to be just as peaceful as I remember it. There are trails that lead up to the peak of the peninsula with ponds and small patches of soft grass to sprawl out on and fall asleep if you wish along the way.

It was a very windy Sunday and many families came to enjoy the views as well. Kites flew high, dogs played fetch in the ocean waves, and a little tea/snack shop let people get their "cuppa" on.

  2. no, those are little shacks you can buy or rent to store beach stuff in. Some have sinks and TVs in them too!
